As an Emmy nominated visual effects artist with a passion for transforming ideas into captivating visuals, I specialize in leveraging CG to elevate the visions of directors, brands, and various collaborators. With an eye for detail and a deep understanding of visual language, I strive to create immersive and impactful experiences that leave a lasting impression.

Throughout my career I’ve kept up to date with the latest technologies and trends. I enjoy collaboration with others and pride myself in being reliable and flexible depending on the needs of the team. Some of my recent areas of focus recently have been photorealistic environments, lighting, lookdev and mentoring other artists.

I’m currently working as a lead visual effects artist in Los Angeles as part of the Pitch Black group with 9 different studio locations. I’ve been a key player across our studios in many of the signature television series that have come through our doors. Some recent examples from last year include creating a full 3d environment for the season premiere of The Morning show on Apple TV, explosions and RPGs for Extraction 2 on Netflix and as lead artist for Outer Range on Amazon Prime.

A career highlight was receiving a Primetime Emmy nomination in 2019 for the highly regarded Deadwood: The movie on HBO. Some other recent accolades include working on the Emmy award winning series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D as well as Emmy nominated shows The Orville and 9-1-1. I also contributed to an VR experience with Buzz Aldrin that was released to critical acclaim.

Prior to working in streaming and movies, I was a principal at a boutique visual effects studio in Los Angeles working on photorealistic CGI work for automotive brands, music videos, commercials and directly for agencies. The fast paced environment of commercial work as well as wearing many hats in a smaller studio led to useful experience in all aspects of production. One of our divisions was an early adopter in virtual production, which got me involved in real time rendering and immersive experiences.

Rounding out my experience was working at THQ, one of the top video game publishers at the time where I helped with white box and black box testing of console games for Xbox, Playstation and Nintendo. I got a front seat view of the development of AAA titles as I was sent out on location to work with various video game developers.

Obtaining a B.S. in Computer Science laid the foundation for honing my technical skills, while my creative side was nurtured from a young age under the guidance of my father, a seasoned photographer. Located in the vibrant South Bay area of Los Angeles, I find balance from the intensity of my work through a diverse array of outdoor pursuits, including mountain biking, surfing and volleyball.
